As part of the festivities, each member is asked to bring a gift for the White Elephant Silent and Live Auction featuring several guest auctioneers. And if you also bring a donation of gently used professional women's clothing, you will receive a discount on your lunch! All clothing and proceeds from the Auction will be donated to The New Opportunity School for Women.

God's Pantry
The FCBA Young Lawyers' Section is is collecting donations for their annual Thanksgiving basket drive to support God's Pantry. With this year's significant economic downturn, need is increasing dramatically and donations are down--the Young Lawyers' section drive has collected $7,000 as compared to $17,000 last year! Please consider making a donation if you are able; a full Thanksgiving meal for a family costs only $40. If you have any questions and/or want to make a donation, please contact WLA member Leila O'Carra at locarra@wyattfirm.com.

November Meeting Recap
The WLA had another successful meeting on November 11, 2009, at the Carrick House. Judge Jennifer Coffman of the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, spoke about Work/Life Balance Issues. Judge Coffman's presentation was entertaining, funny, and extremely relevant to many of the WLA members. Rena Wiseman of Stoll Keenon Ogden, PLLC, was this month's "spotlighted" member; we learned that Rena is an avid runner and has finished three marathons! For more information about the WLA or to register for next month's meeting, please email fcba.wla@gmail.com.
